Venues for the festival

Spread across a 1.8 km stretch along river Mandovi, the Festival locations have been strategically chosen for their historical value, natural settings and affinity towards the arts. This festival in Panaji includes art initiatives that will transform our venues into spaces where audiences can experience the arts in exciting new contexts.

With its close-knit networks and practical commute options, festival is accessible to and welcomes everyone. Serendipity Arts Festival intends to transform the waterfront along the river Mandovi, Panaji into a hub of cultural activity.

 

Clube Nacional

An iconic institute of Panaji, Clube Nacional was renovated and reopened recently in July 2017.

Kadamba Bus Stand

A connecting point in Panaji for the Kadamba Transport Corporation Ltd.

Immaculate Conception Church

The colonial Portuguese Baroque style Church was first built in 1541 as a small chapel atop a hill overlooking the city of Panjim and was replaced by a larger church in the 1600s.

Santa Monica Church

An example of Tuscan and Corinthian architecture with composite styles, this church is located on the Holy Hill in Old Goa.

The Municipal Market, Panjim

An atmospheric space, where narrow streets have been created into covered markets.

Santa Monica Jetty

Located near the Mandovi bridge, the Santa Monica Jetty will be the starting point for the River Raag Cruises

Promenade

The promenade forms the spine of  D.B. Marg in Panaji and runs along the Mandovi river.

Old GMC Complex

The Goa Medical College and Hospital, Panaji was built in 1927 and is one of Asia’s oldest medical institutions.

Kala Academy Goa

Kala Academy Goa is the premiere center of various forms of art located in Panaji.

DB Ground

Set against the beautiful backdrop of the river Mandovi, this venue is charged every evening during the Festival.

Children’s Park

The forest department of Government of Goa maintains a serene garden along the Mandovi River in the Campal area of Panaji.

The Adil Shah Palace

One of the oldest buildings in Panaji pre-dates the invasion of the Portuguese – despite looking typically colonial – and was the palace of Adil Shah of Bijapur.
